Maker Mentors recently announced their upcoming 2016 event called “Build a Better Business Conference”. The conference will be broadcasted live on April 20th-21st. The entire conference will take place online, so all creatives can attend from the comfort of your own home. The conference will be 2 full days, and include presentations from 12 creative experts that will be hosted via live video.
Modern Thrive, a community developed by the founders of Mentor Mentors and designed to educate, support and offer free resources to creative professionals, hosts several amazing workshops this summer. One of them is Building a Freelance Illustration Business, taught by amazing well-established illustrator Salli S. Swindell from Studio SSS, and co-founder of They Draw & Cook and They Draw & Travel (I had the chance to video-chat with Salli and she’s a peach).
I’m launching a biweekly newsletter which will feature art-related news and project updates. While the newsletter will primarily feature my artwork, new project announcements and life updates, it will also include links to interesting articles, tools and resources for artists and art appreciators.
To make things even more exciting, I’m also holding a contest: Just sign up to my mailing list for a chance to win a signed art print.
There are a lot of interesting design and business-related events happening this spring. Among them, the launch of the new Apple Watch and the issues it came with, Microsoft’s upcoming and potentially half-decent new browser, Edge, and, of course, the launch of the long awaited KardBlock, a Google Chrome extension that will finally rid you of any mention of the Kardashians on the internet.
But among things that really matter and which make life worth living, there’s a pretty cool online conference targeted at creatives from around the world taking place at MakerMentors.org from May 14 to 16th 2015. The price tag for the event is $200. It includes access to over 20 live sessions with creative business experts, with the option of participating to the live webinar and ask questions at the end of each talk, or watch them at a later time; and a one 20-minute consultation session with one of their mentors.
